Happy New Year....Plans for 2011

Happy New Year!

We've had a perfectly wonderful New Year's Day.  We rose early and went to synagogue, where we had rousing praise music and a good sermon.  We stopped at the local grocery and I treated my husband to the makings of a steak dinner, which we came home to prepare.  We settled in to our chairs after eating and have whiled away the rainy afternoon reading, laughing over The Three Stooges, and nodding off...Very relaxed and easy.

I've given a great deal of thought to what I'd like to do this coming year...and I've been feeling a bit nostalgic over some past postings that I'd like to re-introduce.  One was a series I started and then dropped due to time issues.  It was called A Woman At Home.  I'd like to bring that back as a feature on a regular basis...

A Year of Savings  was a fun if flawed way of showing how I 'earn' an income by being home full time.  In these tight economic times, and with predictions of still more of these days ahead of us, I thought I'd bring it back.  This time I'll be more accurate in my savings predictions.  If a savings method has a one time use savings that will be noted and if it is indeed something that might be used over and over again throughout a year, I'll figure the amount of savings accordingly. I may not make daily postings but include it in my
Frugal Friday  series.

Frugal Friday  will continue.  Too many of you report making a second visit to the blog weekly just to read the Friday posts.  I'd certainly be wrong to discontinue that!

Coffee Chat  will continue but I may change the day I post.  Menu Monday  will continue.  I'd like to share my goals for each month and an end of month summary of the progress made.  I'd also like to occasionally post devotional type writings I do now and then after a revelation or particularly moving sermon.  I've been writing them for the past two years and I'd really like to share them.  I just might have an insight or perspective that gives food for thought to others.

I'd like to return to the Leftover Makeover feature and will crosspost those to the recipes blog.  I'll try to be diligent in posting recipes there from the weekly menu, tried and true files or newly attempted and worth repeating new recipes...

And that's pretty much as far as I've gone in my blog plans for the New Year...Considering I've made this sudden and spontaneous move to a new home, I'm leaving myself wide open for any fresh inspiration that comes my way.  If you really knew me you'd know how strange this sudden spontaneity is...
